Nielsen’s “State of the Media: The Social Media Report – Q3 2011”





The power of Social Media continues to have an influence on the public with everything they see and purchase. A study conducted by the Nielsen group revealed some interesting insights on the usage of social networking sites based on geographic and demographic information.
  

Findings also showed 4 out of 5 active Internet users visit social network sites and blogs as Tumblr penetrates the social media market by increasing its users nearly three times in comparison to the previous year.
