After becoming the first Twitter user to reach 20 million followers in March this year, it is no surprise that Lady Gaga has gone on to break another record on the social site. Her domination of social media has seen her reach a staggering 30 million followers this week, becoming the first user to reach the milestone.
As an artist who truly believes in connecting with her fans, whom she refers to as 'little monsters', Lady Gaga invited her fans to help her celebrate and use the #30millionmonsters hashtag. However many are sceptical over the number of fake users contributing to her Twitter success, especially considering that more than 60,000 likes disappeared from her Facebook page during a recent purge of fake accounts.
Regardless, Lady Gaga's domination of the social spectrum looks set to continue and she has even created her own social site - named after her little monsters.
