This significant piece of tech can survive for up to 30 minutes under water. The smartphone additionally claims to be dust proof, have double battery life, a quad-core processor, a 5-inch 1080p high definition screen, a 13-megapixel camera and can connect to Wi-Fi with just ‘one touch’.
Unfortunately, for all those divers and swimmers out there, there is only so much this handset can handle. The Sony Xperia Z is only water resistant for depths of up to one metre, so jumping deep into the ocean with it is not recommended. I don’t know about you, but I am very excited to get this phone and leave it in the sink as I wash dishes.
The Xperia Z will be available for pre-order in Britain from early February.
