Be Careful What You Put On Your Social Profiles!

Social media is often a way for us to vent our frustrations, which can lead to us sharing or posting some pretty explicit stuff. But you may want to reconsider what you share on your social profile, especially if you are planning on searching for a job anytime soon. Recent research by Bullhorn, who have created the infographic below, shows that 98% of recruiters used social media to access potential candidates in 2012.
Although much of this occurs on LinkedIn, the number of recruiter using Facebook and Twitter to inform their decisions is rising. 51% of recruiters stated that they used Facebook in their search for the ideal candidate, whilst 49% admitted to using Twitter to inform their decision. So think twice before you post something that could be risky in the future!
