Samsung scoops the prize for most accurate touch screens.

In news that may surprise some iPhone users, Samsung's devices were the clear winners when Finnish firm OptoFidelty pitted the two brands against each other in a battle for the most accurate mobile touch screen title. Using a device called the Touch Panel Performance Tester (geek for robot finger) OptoFidelty touched every single point on each devices screen and gave each coordinate a pass or a fail mark. To gain a pass, the device must register a touch within 1mm of the actual location of the performance testers robot finger.
OptoFidelty performed accuracy measurements by tapping the phones across the screen and comparing the touch position with reported coordinates.

Study Shows Drop in Facebook's Popularity

A recent survey has shown that Facebook's popularity has fallen dramatically among teens, with Twitter cited as the main reason for this. In Piper Jaffray's most recent version of the "Taking Stock with Teens" research project, only 23% of respondents stated that Facebook was the most important social media site and this represents a 42% decline on the previous year.

Unsurprisingly China, the USA and India make up the top 3 nations with digital natives, which are defined as 15-24 year olds who've used the internet for at least 5 years. However there are some surprising results in the top 10, such as Vietnam and Mexico's inclusion and the relatively low number of digital natives in Russia and Japan.

This is another small step in the development of a contactless society, but given the current battery life of today's top smartphones it doesn't seem that they've thought about the eventuality of your phone dying before you've unlocked your bike! Facebook Vs. Twitter: The Battle Continues

Today Twitter bosses launched an attack on the social networks main rival, Facebook, by stating that all the company is interested in doing is to "dominate, destroy and break things." The Twitter boss responsible for this outburst was head of media Chole Sladden, who went on to describe how she believes that Twitter is far better at creating a "shared experience" and satisfying the "basic human need to connect" when compared to the more rigid and tightly controlled Facebook.

Andrew Cuomo, the 56th Governor of New York, announced there will be 91 "texting zones" accessible around the Big Apple city. The "texting zones" are visible thanks to 300 blue and white signs placed on state roadways.
