Let's making laugh at bad Engrish!

Ok, so with fewer recent feelings of rage towards social media and the internet in general, this week I'm going to delve into one of my favourite websites, find some of the more amusing photos and post them for your viewing pleasure. Sit back on this fine Monday afternoon, take a drag on your cigar, a sip on your whiskey and enjoy... (What we should all be doing in a better world).

Ah Japan, third biggest economy in the world, home to technology mega giants, yet you haven't quite mastered the art of A, B, Cs yet. You'd think they'd have invented a robot for this stuff by now.

That's the English nation as a whole out.

They haven't specified the type of scum on offer here - is it pond, human?

Seen anyone in your local Waitrose tonguing the bread lately? Salty!

Personally, I blame the creators of terrible translation services *cough* Google *cough* rather than the sweet, poor editors of these signs, who have at least attempted to convey information in another language, but who have been evilly thwarted by the awful tools at hand.

People often give the excuse that there's no point in learning another language because within our lifetime we will invent mechanical translators that make the effort redundant. Which is true, if you live in a western world where technology is readily at hand and affordable. Fortunately the rest of the world will just have to keep Engrish.com running for our entertainment.

And finally, enough of the humour, and a little word of advice for you all...
