Wrapping presents, decorating the the tree and.. stalking Santa? That's right, Microsoft and Google's annual "Santa Tracker" is back and for the very first time they're fully optimised for mobile.
The tech giants are battling it out; both companies have a Santa Tracker website of their own. The basic premise of the Santa Tracker is that it counts down the days to Christmas in a light-hearted and cheerful manner, with each new day unlocking fun games, videos and activities. (Similar to the concept of an advent calendar.) This year, Google have decided to make theirs slightly more educational - they have promised some challenging activities that will even include teaching children the basic concepts of coding!
Microsoft, on the other hand, has teamed up with NORAD (North American Aerospace Defense Command) to create their version of the Santa Tracker. The NORAD / Microsoft version will be based of Bing Maps, and will include music, games and movies. It also includes a brief bio about who NORAD are and what they do. Microsoft's version can be translated into eight different languages, so everyone can enjoy the Christmas fun.
Both websites look quite cool, so it will be hard to pick a favourite!
The Santa Tracker is now fully operational on mobile. Each version has an app available for download, so you never miss out on where Santa is and what he's doing.
