The best ads from the Facebook Ad Awards

The Facebook Awards have just been released to coincide with the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, where the international advertising world gets to gives itself a big pat on the back.

You can see a list of the full winners here, or you can stay here trust my judgement that these are the best of the lot.

Although a nightmare towards the end, the ALS 'Ice-Bucket Challenge' was an advertising sensation and brands have been scrambling to copy the tactic since then (with little success). Here's a compilation of the best ones:

The Always 'Like A Girl' campaign was up there with the ice bucket challenge as one of the most popular Facebook campaigns of the year, but for a completely different reason. This documentary-style video series never wavered from the seriousness of the cause, and the question behind the ad: “when did doing something ‘like a girl’ become an insult?” Boys are just the worst...
This Newcastle Brown Ale ad features a dog and Aubray Plaza, so it must be good. Newcastle says they dominated the web for weeks before game day with this campaign, and they were featured in every Big Game ad list (apparently they found the $4.5 million for 30 seconds of airtime a bit steep).

Finally, there's this one from the Ad Council, whose motto translated well: no lecturing, just love (good use of Macklemore to keep things upbeat). With over 40 million views on Facebook in just two days, the it became the second most viral PSA in history after three weeks.
We liked this last one so much, we added it to our other Pink! AccuraCast site
